What happens
The wedding experience
Morning (Premier Package)
If you’re staying at your venue the night before, you have the exclusive opportunity to choose our Premier Package – a luxurious addition that includes a private morning visit from us and our unicorns.
As you, your bridal party, and family prepare, Pumpkin and Princess arrive outside to bring a touch of enchantment.
Adults and children will enjoy unforgettable moments – with plenty of time for fun, candid photographs and unique selfies.
A truly magical start to your day.
Afternoon
After your ceremony, our tiny unicorns will be outside, entertaining your guests while you are busy having your professional photographs taken (remember to let us know when you book if you’d like the unicorns to be included in any way).
Princess and Pumpkin will offer your guests gentle interactions and magical photo opportunities. While your youngest guests will naturally be thrilled, don’t be surprised when you see the older guests completely captivated by their magic and charm too.

“Every fairytale wedding needs a unicorn!”
We came to Sandy with the idea that we wanted to keep Princess & Tinkerbell a complete surprise from our guests until after our ceremony which meant additional time and effort coordinating and planning logistics, but she was completely unfazed by this.
I was delighted to learn in the lead up to our wedding that we share the same attention to detail which meant that everything was meticulously planned down to the last minute detail. On the morning of the wedding Sandy kept us updated with photos and videos so we could relax, knowing everything was going to plan.
Needless to say, the surprise turned out as planned and our guests absolutely loved them, not just the children but adults too! Everyone wanted to say hello and get their picture taken with them which was great whilst we were away getting our photos done.
We had our own surprise the day after the wedding when Sandy sent me through a load of photos she had taken herself on the day with her phone of the wedding and they were absolutely beautiful!
We cannot recommend The Unicorn Experience enough. Sandy will go above and beyond to make sure that your day is absolutely perfect and besides, every fairytale wedding needs a unicorn!

Questions we get asked
What do you do at a wedding?
Depending on your package, we’ll either be there all day – starting with a calm and joyful morning visit – or join you after the ceremony during the drinks reception. Our unicorns offer beautiful photo opportunities and gentle, heartwarming interactions for guests of all ages.
How far do you travel?
We’re happy to travel anywhere across the country. A travel charge of 50 pence per mile applies (from FK1, Central Scotland), and for longer journeys, rest breaks or overnight stays may be included in the price or reflected in your quote.
Do we need to get permission from our venue for you to attend?
Yes, but don’t worry – we’ll contact your venue directly to ensure everything is approved and properly arranged before we take your booking. We’re experienced in working with event teams and will handle all the necessary coordination.
How do we know if our venue is suitable for the unicorns?
Tell us the name and location of your venue, and if we haven’t been there before, we’ll get in touch with them directly to find out if it is suitable. As soon as we know one way or the other, we’ll let you know.
Can you offer a surprise appearance?
Yes – we’re often invited as a surprise for guests, children, and even the couple! We’ll coordinate closely with your venue, photographer, and videographer, to ensure the surprise stays perfectly under wraps.
Are your unicorns just for weddings with children?
Not at all! In fact, nearly half of the weddings we attend are completely child-free. Our unicorns bring a sense of wonder and joy that guests of all ages love – we know couples often search for the best children’s entertainment at weddings — but what about something to capture the attention of all your guests?
Can you do something special for our child/children on the day?
Absolutely! We’re happy to coordinate with you and your photographer for them to capture special portraits of your child or children with the unicorns. We also offer a little extra magic with The Unicorn Horn. Make sure to ask us about that.
Can you be there for the whole day?
Yes! With our Premier Wedding Package, Princess and Pumpkin will join you in the morning for a private moment of calm and delight with you and your wedding party – easing nerves and sharing in the quiet excitement. After the ceremony, they continue to enchant your guests with gentle interactions, beautiful photo opportunities, and a joyful atmosphere throughout your drinks reception and beyond.

Can they attend our wedding as ponies instead of unicorns?
Yes! They can be unicorns or pretend to be ponies. Both are very popular.
What if it rains?
It’s Scotland, so we know that the weather is very changeable, right up to the very last minute. We bring our 4.5m x 3m white event gazebo with us, to protect our unicorns from the hot sun or the rain. We leave the sides open so that the gazebo blends in to the venue grounds. Our location within the within the grounds may be adjusted according to the weather, and we’ll keep you informed of the plan well in advance.
Are your unicorns ok with dogs?
Yes, but please speak to us directly to chat about this.
Can we have a unicorn as a ring bearer?

Can I book a unicorn for a proposal?
Absolutely! We’ve been part of surprise proposals, and even helped brides ask loved ones to be their maid of honour, bridesmaids, flower girls, or page boys.
What happen if the unicorns go to the toilet?
Our unicorns are live animals and will graze on grass – or hay that we provide if they’re on a hard surface – and may need to go to the toilet during your party. We ensure that all droppings are collected and taken with us when we leave.
