What to expect
The Magic Begins
Children step into our warm Christmas studio and quietly meet Pumpkin. Introductions happen at their own pace, helping everyone feel safe and comfortable while learning how to gently and respectfully interact with a unicorn.
Storytime with Pumpkin
Settle into our velvet Christmas chair with Pumpkin by your side. Enjoy a calm, magical moment -stroking his soft coat, chatting, and sharing a festive storybook together.
Extended experience
For those enjoying the extended 1-hour session, there’s even more time to brush, pet, and bond with this gentle, cheeky companion. Children can share their favourite book, enjoy up to three outfit changes (think best-dressed, cosy pyjamas, or festive fun), and create even more memories.
Capturing the Magic
While children interact with Pumpkin on our Christmas set, we’ll capture a mix of posed portraits and candid, heartwarming moments you’ll treasure forever.
A fond farewell
Before it’s time to go, children share a quiet goodbye with Pumpkin – giving you the perfect chance to snap your own photos and videos to remember the day.

Please let us know your chosen Experience and preferred date and we’ll confirm availablilty and provide details for you to secure your place with your 50% deposit. Spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

What age is The Christmas Experience best suited for?
The Christmas Experience is ideally suited to children aged 3 and over. For children under 3, please get in touch.
When is the Christmas Experience?
We run our Christmas Experience on weekends in November and December. They run all day in 30 minutes or 1 hour sessions.
Where does the Christmas Experience take place?
Our Christmas Experience takes place indoors at Summerlee Museum in Coatbridge, Lanarkshire (Central Scotland).
Summerlee has parking and can easily be accesed by train from Edinburgh or Glasgow.

How much does it cost?
We offer two packages, depending on how much time you’d like to spend with Pumpkin and how many digital images you’d like included. Get in touch to find out which option is the best fit for you.
How long does the experience last?
Depending on the package you choose, you will be with us for 30 minutes or one hour.
How far ahead should I book?
To avoid disappointment, it is advisable to book as far ahead as possible if you are looking for a specific date.
If you’ve only just found us, get in touch. We may still have last-minute availability.
What if I want to bring siblings too?
We’d love for siblings to come too. Whether they are taking part or just tagging along, please get in touch.
How many adults can come?
We suggest a maximum of 2 adults, but if you’d like to bring more we can discuss it when we chat on the phone.
What if my child is nervous?
When you arrive, we take everything at your child’s pace, making sure that they feel comfortable.
Can we bring our own costume/dress/outfit?
Yes, you certainly can. Your child being comfortable and happy is most important to us. Please ensure children come dressed and ready for their photoshoot. If you book the extended one hour session, you’re welcome to bring 2 additional outfit changes.
What should we bring on the day?

Can I take photos on my mobile phone?
You’re welcome to use your mobile phone to take photos and videos. We just kindly ask that you pause while children are on the set, and professional photos are being taken. Thanks for your understanding.

When do I get to see the photographs?
Within 10 working days, you will receive a link to your private online gallery of wartermarked digital proofs to review.
When do I pay?
To secure your date, we ask for a non-refundable deposit to be paid at the time of booking.
The remaining balance is paid on the day of your experience.
Payments may be made by Paypal, Bank Transfer or Cash.
Can I purchase a gift voucher?
Gift Vouchers are available. Please contact us.
Can you make personalised Christmas Cards?
Yes, definitely. Make sure you let us know before book, or during your session to ensure we don’t miss Christmas printer deadlines.
